Mission Statement

Because We Care, Inc., was formed to provide direct programs, projects, and services to assist children, youth, adults, and families in the southeast Queens community.

These may include, but are not limited to:

1)  The distribution of food and materials on nutrition and related resources on

      a regular basis, to those who are hungry.

2)  Programs for the development of children and youth through educational,

      recreational, and cultural activities, designed for violence prevention,

      building leadership and academic skills, and providing opportunities for

      volunteerism and intergenerational activities.

3)  Programs for adults and seniors, which include various educational, cultural,

      recreational, and mentorship activities, through workshops, trips and various

      community service activities.

4)   Providing programs, workshops, and related resource information to address

      physical and mental health disparities in the wider community.
